Etudes franz list11/12/2023 The presence of this recording is almost accidental. Besides these Etudes, the collection includes the Hungarian Rhapsodies, Rhapsodie Espagnole, Mephisto Waltz, Sonata in B minor, and various other pieces for piano solo. This is part of a collection of 5 CDs with Liszt-recordings by Cziffra, dating between 19. György (Georges) Cziffra (1921 – 1994) recorded the Etudes d’exécution transcendante in 1958 - a mono recording. Note: the above times are formal track durations, including dead times.Ĭomments on the Performances Georges Cziffra, 1958 Miroslav Kultyshev is never really slow, but fast(er) in four Etudes. The one Etude where he is faster (Nr.3) is the most lyrical among the twelve Claudio Arrau plays substantially slower in 5 Etudes. There are also 3 pieces where he plays slower overall. György Cziffra has 3 pieces (and many passages, see below) where he plays substantially faster than the other two. All I mean to say with this table - given the limited number of artists - is: Blue indicates tracks which are longer / slower than the average, green stands for tracks that are shorter / faster than the average:Īgain: no rating intended here - this is not a speed race (even though these pieces must be a feast for the top virtuosi of this world!). The color background in the “seconds only” columns indicates duration deviations from the average (among these three recordings). In the chart above I have listed the track durations, both in minutes (mm’ss”) and in seconds, for these three artists.

Migraine with aura pregnancy11/12/2023 For more information, please see the bump leaflets on Gabapentin, Venlafaxine, and Botulinum toxin. They are not known to harm the developing baby but more information on their pregnancy safety is ideally required. Gabapentin, venlafaxine, and botulinum toxin are only used in pregnancy to prevent migraine if other medicines have not worked or cannot be used. For more information, please see the bump leaflet on Topiramate. Topiramate is also avoided in pregnancy as it is linked to a slightly increased risk of cleft lip and palate in the baby and might also affect the baby’s growth in the womb. For more information, please see the bump leaflets on Sodium valproate and ACE inhibitors. Women taking these medicines to prevent migraine should urgently arrange to see their doctor, who will offer a safer alternative. Sodium valproate and a family of medicines called ACE inhibitors (including captopril, cilazapril, enalapril, fosinopril, imidapril, lisinopril, moexipril, perindopril, quinapril, ramipril, and trandolapril) should not be used in pregnancy as they can harm the baby. Sometimes the medicine that was being taken before pregnancy to prevent migraine may need to be changed to an alternative that is safer for the baby. Migraine does not always improve in pregnancy and some women may need to keep taking preventative treatment to ensure that they can function well. This is because there is very little pregnancy safety information about buclizine. The over-the-counter medicine Migraleve (which contains paracetamol, codeine, and the anti-sickness medicine buclizine) should only be used in pregnancy on advice from a doctor. For more information, please see the bump leaflets on Cyclizine, Prochlorperazine, and Metoclopramide. These drugs are also used to treat pregnancy sickness and are not known to be harmful to a developing baby. For more information, please see the bump leaflet on Codeine.Ĭyclizine, prochlorperazine, or metoclopramide may be offered for nausea and vomiting caused by migraine. Codeine use in the weeks leading up to delivery can cause withdrawal symptoms in the baby after birth. While the majority of exposed babies show no long-term effects, some studies have shown that certain birth defects are slightly more common after codeine use in early pregnancy. For more information please see the bump leaflet on Sumatriptan.Ĭodeine may be offered if other treatments have not worked. There is no evidence that use of sumatriptan in pregnancy is harmful to the baby. Sumatriptan may be offered if paracetamol has not controlled the pain and an NSAID cannot be used. We will be updating this document as soon as possible to include the new advice. For more information, please see the information here. The advice to avoid any use of NSAIDs after 30 weeks of pregnancy has not changed. It is now recommended that prolonged use of NSAIDs should be avoided after 20 weeks of pregnancy. PLEASE BE AWARE: The advice about use of NSAIDs in pregnancy has recently changed. For more information please see the bump leaflets on Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, and Naproxen. It is very important that NSAIDs are not used after 30 weeks of pregnancy as, at this stage, they may affect the baby. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) might be recommended by a doctor in the first and second trimesters if paracetamol does not control migraine pain. For more information please see the bump leaflet on Paracetamol. It has an excellent overall safety profile. Paracetamol is the first-choice treatment for mild-to-moderate pain in pregnancy. Medicines to treat migraine should only be used in pregnancy on the advice of a doctor, who will help to weigh up the benefits of treatment against any risks. If drug treatment in pregnancy is required, there are a number of options to ensure that migraine does not affect quality of life and interfere with daily activities. However, this does not work for everyone.

Painting kitchen wall tiles11/11/2023 As we have mentioned, it is important to use a multi-surface paint on tiles. Once you have your primer, you then need a paint to apply onto this. With one coat applied, Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 will perfectly prepare your ceramic or porcelain tiles, ready to be painted. It is quick drying, low-odour and contains a biocide that protects primed surfaces against fungus, which is why it is perfect for use in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. But what primer should you use on wall tiles? Our experts highly recommend Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 which is a universal interior water-based primer that offers fantastic adhesion to any surface, including glossy surfaces like tiles. This not only makes it easier to paint but will extend the lifespan of the paint. A primer creates a layer on the tile that allows the paint to stick to the surface much easier. When it comes to painting tiles, you must apply a primer to the tile before painting to improve the overall adhesion of the paint. For this reason, we will first talk about the best paint for wall tiles, then move on to the best paint for floor tiles. While the majority of tiles are found on walls, such as bathrooms & kitchens, there are many people who want to paint floor tiles. If you have considered thoroughly whether painting tiles is the best option for you, the next step is to find the best paint for the job. You must use a specialist paint that can be applied to any surface or specifically tiles.Paint on hard to treat surfaces will not last as long as other surfaces, although when done correctly you can extend this lifespan as much as possible.Painting will cover the grouting of tiles unless you paint this too.Paint comes in a range of colours and finishes meaning you can achieve any look you desire.Painting causes minimal disruption, while replacing them can cause or could unearth issues.Painting tiles is cheaper than replacing them.If you are unsure whether painting tiles is for you, here are the main advantages & disadvantages you need to consider: Advantages of Painting Tiles Tiles can be painted using a multi-surface paint that is specially to be applied to a wide range of surfaces including metal, plastic, wood, masonry & UPVC. This is because paint on any surface will begin to deteriorate over time, but especially on surfaces that be more susceptible to wear and tear like tiles. If you want a long-lasting finish, the only real way to achieve this is by re-tiling completely. The problem with painting tiles is that it is not a long-term solution. This is similar to materials such as metal, that is another surface that can be painted contrary to what some believe. Tiles are known as a hard to treat surface due to their highly glossy finish that can make it difficult for paint to adhere. Tiles used all over the house in rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens are made from ceramic, porcelain & other materials that can be painted if properly prepared first. We get asked a lot here at Painters World, can you paint tiles? The answer is simple, yes you can. And while we’ll have a more detailed analysis ready to post tomorrow, it looks like the mini-set didn’t have THAT massive of an impact on the power levels. While the first day and a half was tainted by some of the bugs (like double Spell Damage gain from Bioluminescence), we had a couple more days for players to test the mini-set. Throne of Tides, Sunken City’s mini-set, was released earlier this week. Devils backbone camping virginia11/11/2023 For more information, contact Jessie Carter at. Not sure what was going on at Devil's Backbone that night, but it made me hesitant to recommend the place in the future. And lastly, there’s lots of space inside for you spread out and relax. Devil’s Backbone State Forest covers 705.5 acres in Shenandoah County. And the mountain views are really nice.įor some reason, most of the pathway lights were out, entryway lights were out, and even most of the parking lot overhead lights were out that night. The huge firepit is really inviting as are the brick pathways and various buildings. Very commercialized, but everything is picture perfect, rustic-styled, and quite casual. Crabtree Falls is definitely my favorite campground in all of Virginia Useful. I won't be likely to try this again.įood aside, we did enjoy the atmosphere. Theres plenty to do in the area: Hike Crabtree Falls, taste beers at Devils Backbone or Blue Mountain Breweries, enjoy ciders at Bold Rock, and next time well try the distilleries. Additionally, when we received our $8 bratwurst, it was simply a very small sausage on a cheap hot dog bun with some sauerkraut thrown on top. For us, we would have walked over to the restaurant instead. When we reached the order window, it turned out they were out of about 6 of the about 8 items! This would have been a bit less maddening if they would have posted some kind of sign or let the que know that we might not want to wait in that line. Based on my rave reviews of the BBQ Sundae, we waited in a long line for grill food at about 6::30pm.
